Sharing, Giving, Sacrificing

By this we know love, that he laid down his life

for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for

the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods

and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart

against him, how does God's love abide in him?

Rock Concert

 I don't know if you are familiar with HALO - it's a local Christian ministry for the homeless.  They do great work - serving meals 365 days a year, offering shelter for homeless women and children and even taking meals to homeless on the streets.  Our church, Harvest Baptist, is organizing a Christian concert on June 11 to benefit HALO and we're looking for sponsors to help with the cost.  We have booked a Christian rock band - JJ Weeks -  from Georgia who has opened for groups like Mercy Me and are really good.  Our goal is to get sponsors to completely pay for the concert so ALL the proceeds and donations can go directly to HALO.
